You get inked prints on an FD-258 card at a Spanish police station, post the card with the FBI's applicant form and fee to its CJIS Division in West Virginia, then — if your authority needs the document legalised — send the report to the U.S. Department of State for the federal apostille and have it sworn-translated. The trade-off is what happens when it goes wrong: a rejected fingerprint card is not corrected, it is restarted, you find out weeks later, and you are not told what was wrong with the impressions. Our route captures digitally, so print quality is checked during the appointment rather than by an agency six weeks later.

For supported applications, yes. The FD-258 is a standard U.S. fingerprint card used for federal background checks. Send us the fingerprint instructions from the agency requesting them and we'll confirm the appropriate method before you book.

No, and the difference matters. Digital fingerprinting refers to how your fingerprints are captured. Electronic submission refers to how that fingerprint data is transmitted to the FBI for processing. Our FBI Background Check package includes both.

Yes. The Complete FBI Package includes the FBI background check, the U.S. Department of State federal apostille on the report, and a sworn Spanish translation of up to two pages — which is what most Spanish authorities, consulates and universities actually ask for.

Up to two pages. That is what a standard FBI Identity History Summary and its federal apostille come to, so for the document the Complete FBI Package produces, the translation is fully covered by the price you paid. If your documents run longer, each additional page is quoted separately — we send you the price and you approve it before anything else is translated. You are never billed for extra pages without agreeing to them first.

The fingerprinting itself is not free. During the promotion we waive the mobile technician fee, which normally starts at €125, for eligible appointments within covered areas. Your selected fingerprinting or FBI service is still charged normally. There is no coupon code and no separate mobile charge on eligible appointments.
